microwheel Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Nice work so far. I never get tired of seeing 57s built.
mod3l Lover Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Bert, I can't wait to see some more of this! My love for '57 Chevy's of all styles has caused me to become a collector of '57 kits. Every time I see a kit of a '57 that I don't have yet I have to buy it! I have more than a dozen '57 Chevy kits of all Makers, and scales here. One of my present builds is a H/T kit in purple + black two-tone metalics. With 23's on the back, and 19's on the front. It's looking pretty good so far. David S.
TFchronos Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Nice project and start, the engine looks amazing.
Bert Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 (edited) the kit number is 8319, its the amt/ertl 57 street machine version. Alot of people didnt like the kit because supposedly it wasnt accurate, but its got alot of detail, and its way fun to build. the wheels are from the revell camaro kit, and the tires are from the tamiya F50 Edited August 22, 2014 by Bert
DynoMight Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Looks great! Will you lower the body at all? It seems a little high up.
Bert Posted August 22, 2014 Author Posted August 22, 2014 I think it will sit right once the chassie is glued to the pan, and the bumpers are on it.
