DrewC Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Here's the low down, I'm trying build either a Rat Rod/Retro Rod (are they the same?) or a, say, Bonneville turned street '34 coupe using the body of the Revell kit. So far, the doors have been opend and hinged as is the trunk. I'm using the AMT/ERTL '32 Chopped Ford (Coddington) chassis and up in the air right now on engine. I have a few thoughts on the rear end... 1. the one that came with the Coddington kit, 2. the Pro Street rear end of the Super Bee (AMT) 3. Revell '99 Cobra Mustang.... Any thoughts / suggestions? Thanks!
Gregg Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 If you are going for a retro rod look, I would go for one of the quick-change rear ends that are out there. They are the favorite of many hot rodders, and look great sticking out the back end of a rod.
Harry P. Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 And if you're going for the low-budget "rat rod" look, anything goes. They were built with whatever parts the guys could get their hands on...didn't really matter the source, so just about anything you want to use would be "accurate". As long as it would have been cheap and easy to find.
DrewC Posted January 17, 2008 Author Posted January 17, 2008 Low budget and current inventory is the way I'm gonna go! Thanks guys, very much appreciate the resonses.
