Snake45 Posted October 5, 2014 Author Posted October 5, 2014 If it's not too late, I'd love to see how you made that shifter. Just since you asked so nicely. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=94431
Snake45 Posted October 7, 2014 Author Posted October 7, 2014 Great Decaling! Thanks. Took me a while to round up a satisfactory selection. To my eye they're all too big by at least 25%, but they're what I had to work with. The /MP and 714 number are hand-painted. I found the trick to this is to slop some white paint on in the general area, then trim away everything that doesn't look like a letter or number with the tip of a toothpick. Works great on bare plastic or "chrome," on painted plastic, prolly not so much.
Snake45 Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 (edited) Well, it's finished, at long last, and photographed. I had no idea this "quick, simple model" would take so many hours to finish. Now on to something with a shiny finish! Edited October 8, 2014 by Snake45
