Old Albion Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 (edited) A few years ago I bought 4 off 379 conversions from Matt Burnett (Monkeyclaw). They are still in the bags awaiting the inspiration to build them. Matt offered 4 versions of the long hood 379, a day cab, standard 63" sleeper, walk in sleeper and high roof cab. All kits have all the parts needed I assume to convert the Italeri 378 into the 379 including the correct dash, hood, grill and other items. The hood is slightly wider than the AMT T500 hood so I am assuming that they are for the Italeri 1/24 kits, but I could be wrong. Edited October 10, 2014 by Old Albion
Car Man Posted October 14, 2014 Author Posted October 14, 2014 This is the 389 long hood with no fenders at the moment
Petetrucker07 Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Theres been a problem with posting pics the last day or so.

Casey Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 and i also see they moved the forum too That's why the attached images no longer work. You'll need to re-upload them and delete the old images, or use a photohosting site like photobucket instead.
Chris guthro Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 It worked for me this time. Looks very nice! Can't wait to see the rest
Car Man Posted October 16, 2014 Author Posted October 16, 2014 now do you guys want a full grill like what comes in the kits or do u want an open grill just with the bars
Chris guthro Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Yea bars seperatly! And seperatly headlights! The newer 389 style
Petetrucker07 Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 7 bars with each hood would great too. And the 389 headlights, maybe try to mold with the light area detailed with a clear lense. Maybe do the same with the 386 headlights. P&P has the newer projector pete headlights, but not detailed at all. Its really hard to make them look even close to right.
Car Man Posted October 18, 2014 Author Posted October 18, 2014 (edited) I got the 389, 365 and the 378/357 hoods finished up and ready for casting I am going to cast everything at once so its going to be close to a month before everything is ready for sale Edited October 18, 2014 by Car Man
Petetrucker07 Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Cool deal, cant wait to see how they look. Your test shots look pretty good

Car Man Posted November 15, 2014 Author Posted November 15, 2014 (edited) I am a little late on the picture but here is where I was at when I said Ill post the pictures 365 389 I have been working a lot on the cab, trying to tweak things here and there. I sad before that it would be a month before every thing was done but as of now I only have the 389, 365 and 378/ 357 done and as I said I was tweaking the cab so they will be done before Christmas for sure (I hope ) Edited November 15, 2014 by Car Man
