Guilty As Sin Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Hello. Im new to this forum, but I thought I would start off by posting a few pics of one of my latest projects. Ive been building 1/24th and 1/25th scale cars for about 12-13 years now. Some might say Im old school, because I dont airbrush my cars. Everything is hand painted, except bodies, chassis, and sometimes the interior of my cars. I like to get creative, and build them my way with my colors, as I see fit. I do have a tendency to use the same techniques on my cars, but each one is special in its own way. Feel free to leave comments, opinions, and suggestions! I enjoy any and all feedback!
atenzapower Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 welcome on board.Yor Merc likes fine whit me.
Lyle Willits Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 From what I can see, your Merc looks great but, please, resize your photographes to 640 X 480. They are currently WAY too big to fit on a montior sceen.
geetee66 Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 116 views and only 2 replies!? That's not a very warm welcome, is it? Welcome aboard mate! Your build looks good. The engine looks very neat. Listen, I don't want to teach you how to suck eggs, but I'm new to the hobby and I've been using Tamiya and auto rattle-can paints on mine, and although they're not as good as an airbrush, they do work quite well. I reckon you should give it a go and see what you think. It's quicker than brushing paint on and it looks better in the end... Keep it up!

I'll go with what Lyle and Guy said...Welcome, please reduce your picture size and try using the rattle cans. I have an airbrush, somewhere, but I never use it. I rattle can everything and I'm really pleased with the results. Regards,
Junkman Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 There is only one thing wrong with your Mercury that I can see: It isn't mine once it's finished. Great work!
