ERIK88 Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 (edited) Hi, does any one know of a good color or spray can I can use to make the bullit mustang? Edited October 18, 2014 by ERIK88
DynoMight Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 British Green Metallic by Model Masters (enamel) is a pretty close match, although it has hints of gold flake in the paint..
Snake45 Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 (edited) If you want THE paint, you can order '68 Ford Highland Green from Model Car World. Model Master British Green is a bit dark, but might be acceptable, depending on how close you need to be. Here are two Bullitt Mustangs I've built. The darker one in the foreground is a Mini Exotics resin painted with MM Brit Green. The lighter one is a Revell diecast kit with the out-of-the-box paint. I think it's closer to the real color. If you're airbrushing, you can start with the MM Brit Green and add a little Turn Signal Amber to lighten it. I don't have a formula for this--just do it by eye. ETA: Just realized you might also want to look at Model Master Fathom Green lacquer. This is a '69 Chevy color but also might work if you can't get anything better. The '69 Nova in the foreground of this pic is painted MM Fathom Green: Edited October 18, 2014 by Snake45

Darbo Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 Is there a Tamiya spray that is close?, as these are the only sprays/paint I can get at my local shop?
