MPC Petty Dodge Charger. Carburetor question.

This kit is quickly becoming one that I hate. Maybe someone can help me out. In step 24 of the instructions, there are two 1 inch sections of tubing coming off the carburetor and connecting to some kind of t-shaped piece. What is this?? It's not a kit part. I have no idea where to connect these two lines. I can probably fabricate a part easily, but even then, I still don't know what exactly it attaches to.

I'm also surprised at the lack of reference photos available online.

Also, has anyone noticed that there is nowhere near enough medium black tubing in this kit?

Never mind. I found the t shaped part and can see that it connects to the fuel pump.
