Daddyfink Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 For my build I used Tamiya tape for the edge and 3M blue for the rest of the body. It is really hard to beat the Tamiya tape for this type of painting.
B-Ram Posted December 28, 2014 Author Posted December 28, 2014 Hey Jesse, Thanks for the tip. I will try the Tamiya tape on my next adventure. Bill
Speedfreak Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 (edited) Bill, What are you gonna do with the body? You could strip it you know, it's not that big a deal. Edited December 28, 2014 by Speedfreak
B-Ram Posted December 28, 2014 Author Posted December 28, 2014 Hi Gene, I'm just going to clean up the edges some and finish the model. I'm just getting back into building, so I am looking at these things as experience for future builds. Overall, I am pleased with how it has turned out, so far. The biggest thing is that I am enjoying building again and meeting everyone on this site. I am looking forward to my next build. Bill
Tye Brown Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Hi Man Looks good so far dude. I use Tamiya tape and once I have it down man I give it a quick spray of clear to seal off the tape. I have never had a problem man with paint bleeding thru dude. Keep up the good work man Cheers
6bblbird Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 (edited) I just got some 8mm films that I took in the early seventies turned into a DVD. While watching it I was very pleased to see that I took a close up of the S&M 'cuda's engine bay. The engine was definitely.......wait for it...................................blue!
