moshe Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Hello everyone this is my first post i back to built models lately and i need some help i want to paint my WS as this truck can you tell me how to do it correct remember this my first time ever painting so try to be easy with me thank's
Petetrucker07 Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 (edited) Spray the dark blue 1st let it cure completely, very important. Get a glass cutting board. Lay out some delicate masking tape. Mark on the tape with a pen the flame design and the straight lines. Use a fresh sharp blade, cut it. Pull what part you want left the dark blue. Lay the tape down the clear over the tape, this seals the edge so the next color doesnt bleed through. Spray the next color let it cure completely before yoy unmask. Thats how i would do it. Chariots of Fire Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 If this is your first attempt at painting a truck I think I would try a one color paint job first. You don't say whether you have an air brush or if you will use a spray can. In either case doing a paint job like you show is something you might try after you have had some experience with painting. Give us an idea of what you have done so far. Perhaps we can offer some advise that would better fit your situation.
moshe Posted November 1, 2014 Author Posted November 1, 2014 Thank's for the answers i did try once or twice one paint job so i got the basic to give more info this is the truck i know it's built poorly was belong to my friend it's fall from the shelf and broke all over he give me all the pices he can find so i built it again and paint all black now i want to take it apart paint it and try built it much better
Mackvision Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 I agree with the others, that is a pretty ambitious paintjob for even a seasoned painter,a lot of prep, layout, masking and so-forth. For a first-time paintjob. My suggestion would be to practice, practice, practice, till you get the "basics" down before attempting a job like this..........................................Mark
