Tennessee Dave Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 My name is Dave and I am 64 years young. I haven't built a model in nearly 50 years but I have developed a keen interest in not only only building some but to build them well. Right now I am in the gathering information stage about the terminology, researching airbrushes and compressor systems, looking at kits available, trying to determine which kits are of the best quality, what paints to use in airbrushes, etc. It is just my nature to want to get as much information as I can. I have learned a lot already and luckily I found this forum and looking forward to learning from the experts here. Any information you guys can provide will be greatly appreciated. Any recommendations for air brush systems including compressors would be appreciated. I am ready to order and get started.

DynoMight Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 Hey Dave! Welcome to the forum! As far as a airbrush, I recently got a Paasche TG 2L off of Amazon ( http://www.amazon.com/Paasche-TG-2L-Airbrush-Accessories/dp/B0017IFL4E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1414952399&sr=8-1&keywords=paasche+tg2l ) and it is a very reliable airbrush. No complaints. I feel that is a good starter airbrush, and it really doesn't cost that much (and it's made in the US, if that means anything to you) As far as a compressor, look at compressors at Lowes. They are cheap there and you could get one there for a deal. You could go to Harbor Freight, if there is one around you, you will pretty much find one there for sure.
thatz4u Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 for highly detailed kits, look at Moebius, Galaxie Ltd., Revell, well you get the idea....
