booboo60 Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 HeY guys, I'm doing a pro mod superbird, no want to have a frontend clip that pops off, yea I know how to cut it out, But, I seen a camaro I think that had pins on each side you pulled out, and then front came off,his doors had a pin only, not a paper clip tupe, it was like you slide the door down on a bent pin and that was it, anyone help? Thanks alan
jbwelda Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 well if i understand you properly, i think you should cut off the nose, then make some plastic liner to fit inside the sides of the nose piece that will slide past the inside of the body where the two meet. when that is fitted, tape it up and drill holes in each side, through both the body and the nose side pieces you made, and then slide pins of whatever sort (straight pins would work for positioning purposes) through the pieces from either side. jb
bobthehobbyguy Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Check tyrones 1969 outlaw camaro build post 56. He shows how he uses staples for door hinges. Lots of other good tips on modifying the revell top sportsmen kits for drag builds. Don't know about the removable front though.
