hey Jason, good job on the hood. now you will be doing that with EVERY build!! wasn't that hard, right. and I now I am alone on this, but I love the injection ontop the tunnel ram. I am doing that with a 70 coronet build. don't see it much and done right, will look killer.

I am kind of leaning towards the injection too, I have yet to do anything injected and I think it would be right at home on this build.

Some more progress done on the hood, it's almost finished. I sprayed some semi gloss on the interior and mocked up the cage again. I think it will look very good with detailing. Let me know what you think

I put some plates on the bumper and glued on the parachute mount. I also finished the smoothed firewall and I'm almost finished smoothing the inner fenders. I found some real bad news as well, the body is horribly warped, I don't think there's much I can do about it, I don't want to mess it up more by attempting to put it back with warm water. At this point I don't know if I can finish this build, I'm sure that the body will cause all kinds of havoc when it comes to final assembly so there's no point working with it. I guess I could contact Revell about purchasing a replacement body. Unfortunately I can't afford a whole new kit so this may just end up being trashed with the useful parts saved for another build. Anybody have any ideas?

Ouch! Finding out that your body is warped is really frustrating. I know how easily it can lead to the point when the model is put back on the box for a long time, it has happened me a couple of times too. If you think the body is unusable like it is now, I'd probably try saving it with hot water anyway... If it ends up being worse, it doesn't matter that much when it was already unusable.

Replacement body would be a good idea in my opinion too... Or then you could try finding a decent glue bomb / built up of this kit where to take the body from. Those are usually not so expensive and you could get some other parts from the same kit as well in side of the actual body.

Thank you Gene, I'll try to post updates as I continue to make progress. All that's left is to paint and assemble the chassis, and assemble the engine. I have a resin big block based off a 572 that I'm planning on using a hat injected tunnel ram.
