IceMan Collections
This is the third 53 I have been working on. I was going to save it for the April MOTM over at jerrys cherrys but 6 months is way too long. I'll be done with this one a lot sooner so I'll think of something else for then. Here are some progress shots. Edited November 21, 2014 by iceman-
Intmd8r
I like it - keep it going!
IceMan Collections
Thanks Steve. I'm not sure this will end up as a work truck anymore. Will probably go with a Desoto engine and keeping this patina look. It's been sealed with Alclad semi matte clear. Changed the rims to green and put them on some white walls the front has been lowered a few scale inches. The rear is still not set but I'm liking this height. Now I can't decide on the grille for this look. Edited November 21, 2014 by iceman-

wayne swayze
I would choose the stock grille in the 2nd photo, but I also kind of like the "custom" grille in photo #1. Either way...cool truck!
Jantrix
I'd recommend a couple of washes. It will get into the rough areas and give it a more weathered look. From this To this
IceMan Collections
Thanks guys. Not sure about the dirty look, Rob. I'm still going for a clean patina look. But who knows. I've changed my mind so many time with this one. Adding a Desoto engine to it soon.
Jantrix
The wash, if used right, isn't to make the car dirty. Certainly my bottom pic doesn't look dirty, but rather to make the paint separations look more like something that happened over time naturally , rather than something done on purpose. Use craft acrylics thinned with tap water. If you don't like how it looks you can wipe it off with a damp towel. It will also get into the door lines, window trim and make them look more realistic. Oh, and I like the top grill better than the others.
Outlaw_Pitbull_0411
The stock grill in pic 2 just looks perfect IMO, but all three fit the truck....truck looks sweet btw. IceMan Collections
Thanks Branndon. Rob - I'm going to try it out. Owrst case scenario I can wipe it off like you said. Will definitely help the panel lines thats for sure. Thanks for the tip
IceMan Collections
More work on this one here. Decided to go with the stick grille. Blacked out behind it as its a mistake I often make. Not this time. Worked on the bed. Added balsa wood small steps of styrene painted chrome. The bed is ow in place. Also found this engine. Can you guys tell me what kind of engine it is and if it were to fit this pickup? Here pics of everything.
Outlaw_Pitbull_0411
I believe it's a chevy motor but don't quote me on that I could be wrong
