atomicholiday Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Monday I noticed my Aztek airbrush was leaking paint right through the body seam. Got a nice coating of Metallizer all over my hand! So I called the folks at Rustoleum (Testors Group) and they said it was covered under warranty. Sweet! So Monday afternoon I shipped my defective unit to them, thinking I'd be without an airbrush for a few weeks or maybe months. You never know. This would really not be cool, as I use it for just about everything, and I'm just now getting back into the hobby after a long time off. The last thing I want to do is stop and wait some more. But at least it was covered, right? Today, when I checked the mail, I got a surprise. There it was, a brand-spankin' new Aztek airbrush! Gotta say, I'm pretty impressed. I really wasn't expecting them to be nearly this fast. Thanks alot Testors! Nice work!
Erik Smith Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Probably a lot cheaper to send you a new unit then pay somebody to fix the defective - thus quick turn around. Good customer service IS something to commend.
disabled modeler Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Exactly...! In these days where some could not care less about it but the money they got for it to start with....any company that handles things like that has my respect and loyalty.
DumpyDan Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Testors Group, you can not get better advertising than a happy customer. Word of mouth.

Yup, it just gets old when you get crappy service everywhere you go. I'm a firm believer that if you get good service, you may tell a few people about it. But get bad service and you're gonna tell everyone you know. But these big companies today just don't seem to care. If they lose your business, there are ten people in line behind you that will make up the difference. Just really made my day to see that Testors (a company that I've been pretty loyal to since the mid 70's) is better than that.
Nitrozilla Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Years ago, the Hobby Vision convention was held at the Sands Convention Center. As a participant with the local IPMS chapter, I got to help at the Iwata booth and the Testor's Make & Take. I got a couple of Iwata airbrushes that I still use, but this is my prized possession from that show.
