autocar dump truck axles

was the 2003 release of the autocar dump truck the only one that didn't contain the drop pod differentials?

I have 4 different issues of this kit and they all have the same top loaders. What does the box look like?

I have that same issue and it has top loaders. Do the instructions show different axles? Was the kit still sealed when you bought it?

kit was sealed when I bought it, I just checked the kit again and I do have the drop pods, but it also had the Hendrickson set up on a sprew with a fifth wheel, pogo, etc. maybe there was a mess up in packaging?

Yes that definitely sounds like a mistake. It sounds like it had the sprue from the Autocar A64B kit.

the site wontlet me edit my post but yes the Autocar dump truck did have two sets of drive axles and also had the stock fenders also so think of it as a 2 in one truck kit could be built as the Dump truck or the highway tractor

well, anything s possible, I only have the one kit( but definitely won't be the only one!) so I didn't really have anything to compare to, but thanks for the clarification!

Absolutely incorrect. I have 46 Dump truck kits of all mixed issues, and 24 of the A64B kits and they do not have two sets of axles. The dump truck kits do not come with 5th wheels either. This was not a 2 in 1 kit.

guitae sam evidently yo u and I bouth I have 3 Autocar Dump truck kits and all had the fifth wheel and stock fenders along with the pit fenders

I just 'browsed' thru mine, it has a 5th wheel on the sprue. ,mine is an ertl kit [6671] no date on box, but was issued as ertl being 'a division of kidde', it also has a bar code on the box.
