amt 36 ford

starting this 36, it will be very mild custom, blu and silver is the colors will use for the body. was wondering if any one has built this kit it has a place to hinge the hood but i think it would be fixed in opened position, trying to figure a way to have removable hood to view motor, any help is appreciated

The real '36 Ford hood opens like this...not easy to do with a model in 1/25 scale.

One of our members built the model in this video, and if you watch, you'll see that if you fit the hood sides carefully and glue them to the hood top, you can remove the entire hood assembly to view the engine.
