I've been thinking about making a diorama for a while, and today it got its start.

I think it's a 2'/10"/.5" piece.

Not sure where it's heading, but I'll let IT tell me

The grass is Life-Like grass sheet.

The road, I first painted with Apple Barrel Territorial Beige, then put down some sieved dirt. Then I put thinned Elmer's Glue-All over it and some more dirt.

Road still wet....

This will definitely get:

Rusty cars (of course)

Junk

A fence

Chevy truck on the road

Faded grass

A car being worked on

More junk

More comin'

Pine needles....

...and goldenrod serve as bushes.

i imagine with some rusted cars , some parts .. maybe some plants on the rusted car ... going to be cool ..

oeh maybe a crooked fence along a edge (low) and a big tree stem ? like its laying there for year and rotting away

I like the ideas so far, but you've really got to tone down that phosphorescent green grass!

I got ahead of that last night, with thinned Apple Barrel British Ivy Green.

I'm still going to add some bare patches and probably fade it over most of it... Looks like a well-kept park to me :/

Tossing ideas around after blackwashing the road and putting more Beige on the grass for bald spots and such....

Something about the Uzi here really speaks to me. Maybe it's Chuck Norris tunneling into my brain.

This one went a while without being touched. However, the Shoebox rustbucket drew me in, along with the Dodge pickup.

However, here's some stuff.

Recognize the tractor? Repurposing and recycling at their best.

Scratched in this pic: desk, orange crate, toolbox, tractor, and boiler stove.

Makes a nice photo background... That's the real intent behind finishing this.

Old build of a kit I got from Jesse Talmage. I rusted it... uhh, a couple weeks ago? Used a couple decals from the sheet Tom Geiger sent me. Cool dudes, both of em.

So, there's still stuff to do.... thankfully. I'd go stir-crazy without something to do!

The Dodge and ScourScout aren't glued down; however, everything else is.

This is just a scrap of plywood I found in the garage. Strangely and thankfully, it fits perfectly on a table in my room. I think I may call this done quite soon and make another.

looks really great. a catchall car would fit right in on this. just a car that is full of junk of all kinds in and around it. GREAT WORK.
