MsDano85gt Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 as the title states i'm looking for the proper factory correct colors for the dodge / Plymouth/ Chrysler 2.0 and 2.2 4 cylinder engines' I'm working on a "shelby " Pentastar car Dodge Daytona Charger want to make it as accurate as possible........ was thinking orange, some box art de picts red lookin engine blocks, otherwise i wonder if like 80's 302 fords the block was just something plain like a black, or gray color? any help is appreciated, pics too good news is for a older mpc kit the decals laid down great!! even tho box art depics darker blue shelby decals on the boxart car...... wear-as the actual decals are a lighter blue (still looks awsome on white) pics to soon come.....
Longbox55 Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Every one of those engines I've ever seen were black. Or if you really want to make it accurate to the 1:1, give it a nice coating of oily black!

iangilly Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 As much as I love my chryslers I've had 6 cars with 2.0 in them, most of them did leak a good amount of oil.
