gtx6970 Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 I rarely buy new releases anymore . But when I do, I try to buy at my local hobby shop as much as possbile. When talking to the shop owner,,,he told me If there was something I wanted and could give him a few days notice and he could get me most anything I wanted and similar to online prices. But for the better part of the past 6 months I have been buying old annuals, and thay have all been off ebay We do havea show / swap coming up next month and I'll try to get a few there if something catches my eye in regards to high postage costs outside the country. I just sent a padded mail with nothing but parts in in the Denmark. It weighed less than 3 oz's. and it was almost $7 I had a complete / unbuilt kit boxed up and took it to the post office for a real time estimate to ship it to Canada,,right at $14
gtx6970 Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 (edited) maybe, but his use of little girls in the ads are creepy enough to keep me away Creepy might be a tad harsh.,,,But I dont see the point of the women in the ad. He's selling models cars ,,not Tee shirts Edited March 11, 2015 by gtx6970
southpier Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 (edited) well ... using little girls to sell T-shirts is hardly appropriate either, but i have to think the original comment parallels the Hari-Davison mantra "...if you have to ask, you'll never get it..." Edited March 11, 2015 by southpier
