Force
Here is a view seen from the I 15 just before Cajon Junction Ca. Another view from Cajon Junction, we have now changed route to the US Hwy 138 towards Phelan Ca. Still on the US Hwy 138. Petetrucker07
Those big rocks in the pics are known as, Mormon Rocks. Cajon Pass follows an old trail called the Mormon trail.

Force
More of my pictures. This is taken out in the Mojave Dessert near Phelan Ca. Taken somewhere between Barstow and Needles on the I 40 back in 2011. Still on the I 40 near Needles. Approaching Kingman from the west on I 40. Now Route 66 towards Kingman. More to come. guitarsam326
I don't get to go out on what you would call long hauls, nothing over 250 miles outside of our shop, but here lately I've been running through VA a little and I ran across this cool looking old store outside of Stuart, VA headed to Woolwine. Well my photos are too large apparently so all you get is the store for now, until I figure out this stupid phone!

guitarsam326
I wish I could get my other pics posted, but I love the way that old service station or whatever it is looks! Mark, have you ever ate at the berry patch on 8 just inside of NC?

guitarsam326
Here's a few from a couple weeks ago near the VA line down east.
guitarsam326
On the same lines, this is what a GPS will do to you. 45 minutes out of the way only to wind up in a cow pasture waiting on a crazy old farmer to show up outa no where with a shotgun. You have to start with the bottom pic to get the idea.
Petetrucker07
Oh boy, that's perfect. I get directions from dispatch sometimes that say head north on such and such road for 26 miles, then turn left at the big white rock, then it's another 8 miles to the pit, can't miss it. guitarsam326
I hear ya Clay to, I've had those directions too! The barn in the very first pic is where the "road" ended and I had to back up around a tree, and up beside an old burnt up single wide trailer! Petetrucker07
I need to find them, I have pics while I was driving the Virgin River Gorge, in the rain, a few years ago. Actually it was my first trip out after having surgery.
thejunkman
Let me guess the aprox. location. My guesses are in bold. You are near my neck of the woods here. Love these. I too have a bunch. West of Denver on I-70 in the Rockies. Near GeorgeTown or Frisco? Somewhere between Gypsum and Glenwood Springs? Tunnel #1 (West Bound), east bound has no tunnel at this mile marker.
