So I think the time has come to overhaul my photobucket account... the amount of photos in random and wrong albums/places has finally gotten to me.

But if I do this, I'll break ALL my links...

I'm on the fence about it. I'd really like to have albums for EACH model I build as it seems like a very organized thing to do.

What would you do? Let it be and let it keep driving you crazy, or fix it, then redo all the threads?

Anyone else ran into this dilemma before and maybe found an easier way to do this?

I did it already. A lot of links were lost but, life goes on. I reposted a few photos on community threads as not to create too many voids there. The others of my own I think people were done viewing anyway. I say go for it if it makes you feel more organized. The time it takes will be worth it. Or you could leave it alone and start a Fotki account.

I spent the last 20 minutes going thru all my threads seeing which ones will need rebuilt... I think I may tackle it. I would open a Fotki but they block it here at work.... but not photobucket. Strange.

I have a Fotki account that I've had for more than ten years. Once I started posting on this board and realized the threads lived forever I stopped moving photos. When I want things in a new album I copy photos into them and leave the originals where they were. I have build albums, then finished model albums. I would typically move that build album to my finished folder when done, and lately I have gone back to my threads and relinked the photos to the new album.

The one shortcoming of this board is that a lot of the historic threads have a lot of broken images where people have deleted the photos from their accounts. I hate that so I do what I can to keep mine in order.

Well I spent about an hour and a half yesterday cleaning things up. I'm going to try to go back thru my posts and edit them to put the pictures back as time allows. I agree with what you said Tom, it is disappointing how that works w/ older content.
