JHDrew Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 OK, I'll be very honest: I'm falling in love with this car :D Once the red stripes are finished I'll check if any touch up is needed. I'm heading out for the weekend (I'll be camping and playing boy scout ) but I'm confident this car can be finished within the next two or three weeks. In my best Alain de Cadenet voice: "This car has the most exquisite set of vacuumformed windows I've ever used" Thanks, Wow!!! Makes me want to start mine. Fine work as always.
ScaleCentral Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I may go back in a couple of weeks if you need something else. I plan on taking several more pics since these turned out a little blurry. Nic Nic, Thanks a lot! You have one of the best set of reference pictures I've seen of the car. Chassis number 8610/01 was named "Spirit of Charlotte" for its first race in Charlotte NC in May '86. It finished 4th. That's the same car that eventually won West Palm beach in June '86. Thanks,
IMSANUT Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Outstanding work on a beautiful GTP. I've been slowly building a collection of all the GTP cars I can in 1/24th scale. The Corvette was my most recent addition to the build pile. I saw them run many times at Road America and Mid Ohio and once at Road Atlanta. Unbelievable race cars for certain. Again, beautiful work!!
