m408 Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 Hey all, I just got a canon power shot A460, and know nothing about taking or posting pictures. No, not any of my builds. They are junk compared to what I see here, and wouldn't bother to post them, but I did my first diorama, (used car lot), with a lot of help and ideas from the folks on these forums and would like to show them how it came out. The camera user guide is full of a bunch of stuff that I just can't understand, so I need a basic "photo 101" course. Questions: 1- What settings should I use? 2- Once I get some decent photos loaded onto my PC, how do I get them posted?
Gregg Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 Milt, the A460 unfortunately is a great point and shoot camera, but it doesn't give you any freedom to set the settings, such as aperture priority, which I recommend to use all the time. It can get close, about 2", but everything from front to back won't be in focus. The thing to do is experiment and see what works best You can use web sites photo host sites such as Fotki or PhotoBucket to host your pictures at, and then just link them to the post. Jairus did a great tutorial on posting pics: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.p...=posting+photos
