imatt88 Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Hey all, Didn't someone make a large scale Outlaw or one of Ed Roth's show cars? I thought I saw somewhere a kit of one of his rods in 1/16th or 1/12th scale... Thanks, Cheers, Ian
jbwelda Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 pretty sure not unless maybe some resin caster was offering one. jb
LDO Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 I don't know of a kit, but a moderator at Hotrodders.com was working on a scratchbuilt 1/8 Mysterion, along with a full-size replica. Here's a link to an old post with one photo of the model in progress. http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/roths-mysterion-mystery-solved-41412.html I do not know the status of the model now.
Howard Cohen Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 There was a clone of the original Outlaw built a few years ago and the same builder is now working on a clone of the Mysterion, both in 1:1 scale. I have never seen any Ed Roth car in any large scale, either resin or plastic.

imatt88 Posted February 1, 2015 Author Posted February 1, 2015 Cool stuff, for sure. I actually found a guy who was scratchbuilding a 1/8th Boot Hill Express. I'm pretty sure that's the one I was thinking of.. I would love to see some of these old show rods in a big scale. Way cool!! Cheers, Ian
