Mopar hound Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Really nice to see a decent model car forum. Since I kind of started building cars I looked and looked for a decent forum and finally my searching paid off. Usually I do aeroplanes -WWI bi-planes mostly - and have shied from styrene autos mostly because I do most of my real car wrenching myself and worked in the auto industry. However, one too many beers or something made me take the plunge into the dark side and all of a sudden I'm building a 1/24 Plymouth Barracuda and loving the BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH outta it. Don't know about the whole plumbing thing...may do the plugwires...since it got tiring rigging 1917 Albatros' and Pflaz' but hey, maybe after a model or two. By the way, why is there 1/24 and 1/25... I'm thinking (probably wrongly) that 1/24 came earlier as those kits seem to have less parts and are older molds. Not really sure though.
disabled modeler Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Welcome !.... some kit companies just use 1/25th or 1/24rth scales for their kit line...while there is good kits in both I basically myself stick to the 1/25ths but do stray to others even very large scale from time to time.
