Paul Koert Longtime volunteer firefighter Paul Koert, 67, passed away suddenly, Feb. 8, 2015, at his home in the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany, N.J. Relatives and friends are invited to call Thursday, Feb. 13, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Rd., Lake Hiawatha, N.J. (973-335-4700). Funeral services will be on Friday, Feb. 13, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with interment to follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa, N.J. For further information, please see www.parsippanyfuneral.com. Born in Paterson, N.J., Mr. Koert was a lifelong resident of Lake Hiawatha. He was a driver with John Johnson Dodge in Parsippany, N.J. Previously, Mr. Koert worked as a shipper with Ashland Chemical in Kearny, N.J. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Lake Hiawatha Fire Department for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Solveig (nee Gresen), and a sister, Carol Koert. Survivors include his brother, Neil W. Koert, and his wife, Carmita.
