Yahshu
Where can I get aluminium hex bar/rod to make my own AN fittings please. I could buy fittings from US suppliers but that's going to get real expensive real fast. I want to be able to make my own fittings for my own personal use, not to go into business with. If this isn't feasible how do the likes of Pro tech etc make theirs?

Casey
ProTech and J.B. Motion machine there parts, so there's a lot of precision involved...which is also why they are so superior and far more realistic than any DIY fitting's I've seen. As suggested, Plastruct makes several sizes of extruded "Hex rod" as they call it: http://www.plastruct.com/pages/OnlineCatalogIndex.lasso?-Search=Action&-Table=Products&-MaxRecords=50&-SkipRecords=100&-Database=PI&-SortField=zfsequencer&-SortOrder=ascending&-SortField=zfsequencer&-SortOrder=ascending&-Op=bw&SelectKey=m
Cool Hand
Have a look here. BNA Model World Could be considered pricey, but some of the Hobby Design fittings might work for you. Edited March 15, 2013 by Cool Hand
Yahshu
Thanks for the input guys, Andrew & Casey, I went & bought a heap of Plastruct hex rod awhile back but as you said Casey, it's doesn't look right. Luke, thanks, I buy a bit from BNA but still to pricey for the quantities I need (to many kits). I'll keep looking, maybe I can find Brass hex small enough & electrocoat it?
