geetee66
Nice builds displayed in a very novel format. I particularly like the colour of the 55 hardtop. I don't really know anything about Mecum autions..but the shots you took look very authentic.

TheCat
Thanks guys. LOL yeah this was just fun to do. I do LOVE MECUM. I would love to go to one of their auctions just to see all those beautiful cars. Watching Mecum is a great source to get painting ideas on future builds. Like this 57 Corvette that I've built. Saw the actual car on the Mecum auction block and just HAD to build it in those colors.

Dominik
cool idea Felix. silly question i think: what means "Restomod" in the pictures?
OldTimer50707
That is neat. Great builds too.
62rebel
Restomod is a combination of "restored" and "modified"; visually kept to a virtually showroom-stock appearance but with mechanical upgrades for power, safety, reliability, etc. not "hot rodding" per se, but keeping a vehicle viable for highway use in the modern era. a "restoration" in literal terms is returning a vehicle to AS-NEW for it's model year... no upgrades at all.
