NIIIICE!!!! I like a good looking '57.

I do have one question though.... Why does it have Pontiac seat covers? B)

Thanks for the pics! It would be a cool car to build!

It has Pontiac seats ( not seat COVERS) becaus that's what the guy had available to him when he built the car.

Hey, remember ther reason everybody went with the bucket seats in the first place . For those too young to remember . the seat would protrude over wher the stick " NOrmally " came through the floor board . Not until Hurst FINIALLY Came out with a stic for the 55=57 Chevrolets dod you have the option of leaving the seat un altered or change to buckets as most fplks of the era did . Ed Shaver

No under hood pics? That fuel injection unit seems to sit mighty high, seeing that the intake stubs show at the top of the hood....and no fuel lines/hoses or linkage showing... :D Hmmm, I wonder if it's a fake injection on top of a four barrel.....?? No engine would sit that high in a 55-57 Chevy. I used to have a '55 Bel Air HT, and the engine was way down there. Those were the days, 30 years ago!

there was a time, so i understand :D that the GM A-body seat was quite a popular swap into a hot tri-5 Chevy.

There used to be a Chevy dealership in Lavonia Ga that had this beautiful Turquoise and white '55 BelAir on the showroom floor with full GTO interior including the dash...

IIRC it also had the Goat drivetrain...this was back in the mid 70's

My dad's '55 ran a Muncie shifter that had been re engineered to fit backwards to clear the seat...
