IceMan Collections
So in my club, we are doing a contest where we all build the same model and then put them up on eBay to see who gets the most $ and funds go towards the club. We did this earlier in .march with the 1950 Ford custom pickup and we had a lot of fun doing that one. Here's a quick pic to the one I built for that contest. Anyways, for this one we started with the Amt pro street nova. Going way different with a show car. Topless too. Here are a few pics of where I'm at so far including a quick stance shot. IceMan Collections
Today I worked on the interior. That red stripe seems a bit off so I want to tie in the interior with the same colors. First off a custom console. I'm flocking the interior but wanted to make sure the color pattern was going to work. I think it will. I did get to finish the dash, though. IceMan Collections
Great paint scheme J, and that dash is gorgeous! What kind of engine do you have planned for this beauty? Decided on the engine. Going to go with a 327. Nothing too fancy.
IceMan Collections
Small update on the engine for this one. The engine is starting to look pretty dressed up. The boots and the radiator hose are in place. The distributor should be the next step. The air cleaner is a Parts by Park piece. Polished it to a mirror finish. IceMan Collections
Thanks Frank! I love when I get into a kit. It feels fun and not like I HAVE to finish it. I'm having fun, learning a few things and it's coming along great. I put in a couple of hours. The engine is almost done. I couldn't find the fuel pump in three kits I have. I checked the pro street ones and custom kit and nothing so I had to make shift one...sort of. At least the fuel line ends up somewhere now. Lol. The interior panels are also done. IceMan Collections
Got off work early to spend some extra time at the bench. Having fitting issues with the hearse. Grrrrrr Needed a break so I got to work on this one. The interior just needs the steering wheel. Test fit the engine also. I'm liking it, I'm liking it!! IceMan Collections
Thanks Daniel n Carl. Worked on this one a little bit more. The engine is set. Took the chrome fan from the 67 Chevelle kit and cut it to size to make it fit. Added the rest of the home-chromed parts on the underside. Engine needs headers then I'll add the rest of the exhaust pieces. I forgot to chrome the headers so I started the process today. A few more parts needed and this engine bay will be done. Here's where I left it for tonight.
