Mike 1017
I am going to build his 1970 Corvette Funny Car.Would he be running a Chevy 427/454 or had the NHRA mandated the 500 cu,in. block by then? I did do a Google search and did not find a answer. Thanks, Mike
gtx6970
Although it may not be the answer your looking for. But my gutt says it was based on a 427 series block and heads. But,,,,,I'm not all that well versed on NHRA rules of the time period either.
Casey
Although it may not be the answer your looking for. But my gutt says it was based on a 427 series block and heads. I think that would be correct. Most teams which still ran BBCs in '70 still used a stock-based block. The 396 in the Revell '65 Chevelle Z-16 is a really good starting point. Mike 1017
I did some research on 1970's Chevy Funny Cars and they were running 427's.
