Im going to replace the two bars and add some photo etch mesh behind it. It will have the stock look, youll just be able to see through. Im about to get started now, Ill have some pics up later. Superpeterbilt Posted January 24, 2015 Author Share Posted January 24, 2015 Another small update. I mounted some '32 Ford headlights on the 359 pedistals. I cut some brass tube to attatch to some 18 guage wire to use as hydraulic line. I only had green, so it will have to be painted. I also drilled holes and started running air lines. I drilled a hole in the tank for the hose and permanently mounted it to the frame. I ran some copper wire through the trailer frame for air lines. The black line is just the roll of tube that comes with the old AMT kits. The yellow is some tiny coated copper wire. As for the symmetry, I drilled holes where each end attatches. I superglued one end and let it sit overnight, then using tweasers to bend them, I sized them up and snipped the ends until they appeared equal. The fitting on the yellow line is just tiny hex stock. I glued the line to the fitting first(leaving some excess line), then glued the fitting to the truck. When the glue was dry and strong, i bent the lines into place and glued them. This was not without aggravation. I broke the yellow lines off several times trying to achieve this. I hope that helps. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Superpeterbilt Posted February 7, 2015 Author Share Posted February 7, 2015 Slowly but surely, its moving along. I added roof lights, ac, spot lights, and mirrors to the cab. I drilled a light panel for the rear of the tractor. I got some paint on the rear wheels, and body of trailer. I made a new tail light panel for the trailer along with a bumper. The paint Im going with is only a tad different, but its close enough. The truck chassis is going to be repainted to match the trailer.
