Johnny Racer
Can someone tell me if there is a difference really between these kits and which is the better more detailed one? I know that Revell and Monogram merged and essentially used the same molds and tooling later on in life but I was wondering about AMT. I know they're all 1/25th scale but was wondering about fit and finish and of course detail. Casey
The Monogram/Revell kits are well done, and I don't recall having any fitment issues on the 4th gen Firebirds and Camaros I built. IMHO, the mid '90s was a high point for R-M, with some very nicely engineered kits being released. Go with the Revell/Monogram kits. You won't be disappointed. Scuderia
The AMT kit is a pain in the behind. I've built two and both times its just a dog. Go with the Revell kits.

kelson
The only complaint i had with the revell firebirds is the window frosting is on the outside of the glass and the rear side marker lights were decals i believe.
Johnny Racer
Yeah the front windshield looks to have some over abundance of black outline. As far as the marker lights, thats fine with me. The 1:1 car has all the marker lights blacked out. LOL Just want to try and make this as close to his 1:1 car since its a gift from his girlfriend. Thanks again for the input. Don Sikora II
The only difference between the Revell and Monogram kits in your post are the wheels. There was also a Revell snap kit of the '93 (it's red on the box) that shares many of the same parts as the glue kits but has a simplified engine and rear suspension. I agree with the other guys and say go with the Revell or Monogram kits.

So I should be able to get away with the lesser priced Monogram kit cause the price of those 25th Aniversary cars is just stooooopid!
