dimaxion
I continue to ask how to identify all SB MoPar . I remember oil Filter / Starter and Distributor locations are the giveaway . So , how do you visually recognize a 318 (1st, gen and Thinwall ('64 and newer) . I know the Distributors are rear location . oil Filters straight out of the ®Rt. side of the Block . Starter on Ls. The 273 looks like a 318 Thinwall , just smaller internally ? I don't remember any parts interchanging between the two . Oil Filter , starter as a 318 . Fuel Pump locations are different . The 340 has a front located distributor , ®R side Oil filter angled back to miss the rt. side Torsion Bar , Lt side starter . user friendly to E Bodies . The 318 Oil Filter relocated and angled back for the same reason . The Dist remained r located and L side starter . The 360 , buried distributor in the back again , to a front position located on the rt. side the Oil Filter was shifted . rt side starter . The 400 cid was a BB ... My question please , fill in the Blanks , correct what I've been able to what I've gathered please ? Thanx ..

Mike Kucaba
The Polysphere 318 has some unusual scalloping of the valve covers.
