LDO
I finally sold my '88 Mustang and the '89 drivetrain donor. Now I can yank the Ranger drivetrain and begin a swap using a complete, running 2000 Mercury Mountaineer with a pushrod 5.0. I also plan to totally disassemble the interior and Dynamat the heck out of it. Im so glad the Mustangs are gone. I just lost interest in them. 1930fordpickup
It is to bad they did not make a Mercury Mountaineer the same year as your Ranger. A nice grill swap would have been cool.
cobraman
Good luck with the Ranger. Post some pics as you go. It should be interesting,.
Fabrux
One swap I always wanted to try was to take an 83-92 Ranger, swap the front clip and radiator support to the 89-92 style if 83-88, and put in a grille and headlights from a Mazda Navajo. Grab the steering wheel too, and with your engine swap you'll have a phantom B5000!
