As a Bugatti nut, I even know which car it is and the history of it. There are only 3 of them.
Yup. Never seen a model version of this particular one.

It's REAL!
And yes, there are models out there of this car. Not plastic kits, necessarily, and not in 1/24-25 scale... you guys have to remember that a model doesn't have to be 1/24-25 scale and plastic!

Hmmm...you're right. The only Bugatti Atlantic models I knew about were based on the black Pope Atlantic owned by Ralph Lauren. The car in the quiz is the Rothschild Atlantic with different features, which last year went to the Mullin museum for around $35 million (the most expensive car ever auctioned). After a little more digging, I found two diecasts - a 1/43 Looksmart version of it, plus this 1/8 beauty by Amalgam (GBP 4,400 - about $7,000).

PS: The car in Harry's quiz is the real deal, photographed by Michael Furman, who also did the photography for an awesome book on Ralph Lauren's car collection, "Speed, Style and Beauty."

Had to be real! No one would build a model that dang ugly!
Well, someone thought it was pretty enough to pay $35 million for it, as you can see from my post above!
This beats out a Ferrrari 250 GTO that sold not too long ago for $32 million. Of course, these are recorded sale prices. It's unknown what other cars may have cost in private transactions that aren't recorded, and the Japanese and Chinese spend megabucks for collector cars.

$7,000.00 for a diecast!? I couldn't make enough to buy that from selling my Jeep!
Check out Fine Art Models for large-scale models that go for around $30,000. About what Gerald Wingrove charges for his masterpieces.
