Hi all,

Im new to this site, and after browsing this site and others I found the inspiration to finally start my own dio of a garage. I have hade my cars for a while now, but just having them sit there without a background or something was just not doing it for me. So I started to think about what to build, went through gas stations, diners etc. and couldn`t decide... But ended up with a garage. The garage will be a replica of a real garage that is sitting in my neighbourhood. The dimensions of the garage in RL is 8,2 m long, 6,6m wide, the front door is 5m so its quite big,

The plan is to fit a workbench in the back, a lift, motormounts etc. And another car in the back as a work in progress.

These are the pictures so far:

And this is what it is going to look like when its finished

I have done some work lately, but its a slow progress. Too few hours in the days...

But have gotten some work done now, and most of the structure is finished. And I have bought almost all I need for lighting and interior.

Are going to do the rest of the roof this week, but have a hard time figuring out what to do with the tiles on the roof. Have tried to search for it, but havent found any. does anyone of you know where it can be bought. Either as tiles, sheets, plastic or some other material? Or do I need to make them my self?
I mean tiles like this

This is taking time.. alot of other things to mess around with.

But have gotten the downlights working, and the lights in the ceiling.

Time for a little barbeque :)

This is looking really cool. Be careful not to raise the car on the lift too far as it will hit the ceiling.  :)

Thanks for the nice comments :)

The downlights are inserted into some small brassholders ususally used to make small holes in fabrics.

the inside lights are made of a box of balsawood and the small side of cd-covers to have some texture to the surface. Not clearly visable on the picture, but you can see it loosly attached on the two right ones. Then painted in a dark silver/metal finish. I tried to use fibre optics for this, but they gave too little light. I ended up installing 2 LED in each lamp.

Beautiful job on everything. That lighting is an especially nice touch.

Will be starting on the port and doors soon. thinking about making the front door motorized also. Since I already have 6v installed in the model. Should be a 6v motor some where that isnt going too fast and that can be geard correcly.. :D
