What exactly is that? No matter what paint you used, thinner will react with it.... To some degree! If that's paint from the roof, if krylon is sandable, wet sanding with a flat block is a start. Then blend the trunk. IMO

Went to see my friend Ron at RMR. Spent a couple days learning more about making molds and casting. Which means I finally got around to making a mold for the Suburban engine bay!! Also went shopping and made some stuff while there....LOTS of 64 C-10 parts and kits now, other parts/kits.

Yes it is. -
Again, project while finishing the paint booth. This is my first version of this idea, I will have a couple more in the future as donors are acquired. Anyway, I'm making this wagon by combining a Beetle front clip and a Ford panel rear section. The Ford kit leaves much to be desired. Here's my progress so far. I had to move everything back in the front. Motor, suspension, cross member....moved some of the frame supports, and opened the side panels.

While slowly working on my paint booth, I may have started a few more projects. Several of the waiting projects need the paint booth to finish them, so ya know, why not start more projects!! One other I will post after this. This started as a semi built kit, with mods. I decided to continue with the retro theme. The frame was mostly done, I cleaned it up a bit and repainted everything. Stripped the body and did some detail body work. I made a new roll bar(since factory one doesn't fit), some pipe bumpers, and detailed the motor a bit. Fabricated an inner skin for the tailgate , everything now in primer. The paint scheme will resemble my brothers truck he bought new in '81, black with tri colored stripes of orange - yellowish.

I tried a quick experiment on some old school fog lights. This was brushed on, over white. Quite happy with the finish, but I just did a light rub test for durability after a few days, and it does come off, without the clear.

Farrari "Testa Rossa" head wrinkle paint help

Interesting question. Just thinking out of the box, what if a guy has an airbrush media blaster(ie: Harbor Freight) and experimented with different medias on the plastic. Then lightly airbrushed desired color and sheen? Never thought about it until now, may have to try it some day. -

Small update, added some "baffles" in the corners for better flow and got the mount located for the blower. Sorry, guess I didn't take pics of the baffles. -

Finally an update. Engine is started for the boat, need to make some aluminum velocity stacks. Finally chromed the wheels with SMS Hyperchrome. Turned out pretty good for the first go. -
Super quick test ...BRUSHED on a fog light over white. Like others, super thin, shows any imperfections, but VERY chrome like! Comes with an aqua clear, but I saw that it reduces the shine. Supposed to dry for 72 hrs., durability test after that.
