1977 Dodge D-100 replica of my 1/1

17 June 2013 - 05:29 PM

Hey everybody, I am here to build a replica of my new truck I just bought a week ago. It's a 1977 Dodge D-100 with a stepside, slant six and 3 on the tree. It's got very minimal rust on the body and needs a little patch work on the floors, but it's not bad. It runs and drives wonderfully!

I now can start building my AMT/ERTL 1978 Dodge Lil Red Express to replicate my truck, and I just bought another kit on eBay to replicate what I want it to look like when I'm finished...then I can look at it and that will be my drive to build it in 1/1 scale as well!

First off, here's the actual truck:

Here's the kit I'll be building to replicate it (just bought some parts for it online, including an interior bucket with a bench seat!)

And the engine I ordered online:

I hope to be starting the project soon. I also ordered some police wheels from a Revell '70 Road Runner kit too. Stay tuned folks!

Mopar police wheels...do they exist?

My 1/1 truck has these wheels and I'd love to make a replica of the truck. Here's what they look like

MPC Dodge Warlock pickup

15 June 2013 - 11:28 AM

Looking for an MPC Dodge Warlock pickup. Here's the various kits I have to trade: http://www.modelcars...showtopic=76581, or if none of those do any interest, I have some kits that I'd be willing to let go for your Warlock. Thanks!

Weeding out some of my kits...trade for detail parts.

**WANTED LIST IS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE 2ND POST**
I'm accumulating too many kits and because of that, I looked through them all and these are the ones I can live without. All are complete unless stated.

Revell 2006 Corvette Z06 - missing Z06 wheels/tires, still has regular C6 wheels but needs tires (contact Revell and they will send them to you for free)

Revell 1969 Camaro Z/28 - missing "custom" taillights, otherwise complete.

Revell 2007 Shelby GT500 - missing engine/transmission, otherwise complete. Some decals may be missing. Would make a great curbside kit.

Motorworks (Revell)  Mustang Turbo Cobra - missing tires (were hard plastic), otherwise complete.

AMT/ERTL Chevy C-1500 sportside 3-in-1 - might be missing some decals, but otherwise complete

1/8 Monogram Camaro Z-28 gluebomb (not complete) for trade

03 May 2013 - 06:51 PM

Monogram 1/8 Camaro Z28. I got this from an auction on eBay and got royally screwed...the guy said it was an IROC-Z and that it was taken apart very carefully and was complete. I will not lie to you like he did to me...it's a Z28 kit, not an IROC-Z, although it does have the IROC-Z box. There are parts missing...not sure which ones besides the rear differential and the dash because I don't have instructions, but looks like the majority of the parts are there. The other issue is that the roof has a crack in it that someone tried to fix and did a horrible job. There are extra parts (seats, wheels, center consoles, etc) as well. I just want to get rid of the kit because the whole thing ticks me off with how screwed I got over it. I'd do something with it, but it's way beyond my skill level. If someone is good at scratch-building, this would be a great kit for you! I'd like to get 3-4 kits for this.

Specific kits I'm looking for (but not limited to):
Lindberg 1/20 Camaro F-1
Lindberg 1/20 Firebird Firehawk
Revell 1994 Chevrolet Impala SS (no snaptites)
Revell SVO Mustang
AMT/Ertl Ford Lightning

Other than those, I prefer Revell/Monogram or Lindberg kits, but some MPC kits are alright. I'm also looking for bigger wheels/tires for pro-touring builds, as well as late-model engine/transmission combos (Ford Mustang 4.6 or 5.4 s/c'd, LS-based GM's, 5.7/6.1 Hemi's, etc). Thanks for looking!
