Now the interior. The Classic's side panels seemed best, except I liked some of the details on the Revel Cabriolet better. Solution: graft the details onto the better panels. The Classic's seat bottoms are terrific, but the Revell Cabriolet's seat backs are the closest to the real thing out of the 3 kit choices. Again, graft them together.

Thanks for the kind words! Got to splice the chopped door posts from the classic body onto the Super's convertible body. Always better to cut and graft too much, then cut it down to size. Then a bit of grinding and sanding to blend it all in.

Okay y'all, I must apologize for shelving this for a couple of years, but I've had a LOT to deal with, including a wedding, some health stuff, plus just got totally burned out on this due to the intensity of what I had to do to it (FAR more than I originally planned). Time to get this thing done. Major body modifications. Had to take pieces from the two Revell bodies and graft them to the Aoshima to reflect the correct vents, trims and such. Flat windscreen framing on the hardtop was too narrow, so I widened it with an insert of plastic, above and below. I'll worry about the windscreen itself later. The hood was a nightmare, part of the upper section being scratchbuilt.

Well, I don't mean the metal cable loops, I mean the red/black striped pole-type items, seem to be under the hood in front of the radiator.

1) Trying to figure out on this Mustang ("Lucifer" from DOH S1) what the red-striped things are on either side of where the grill used to be. I've got 'em circled. And, can anyone show me clear photos of what they are, so I can try to make them? 2) Also, am I right in thinking the grill is actually removed, and that's the rad we see? Or not? 3) Oh, and another thing. Where can I find a hood scoop like that? Haven't found anything in the resin line yet, not that I know it well...is this available aftermarket anywhere?

Well, a few variations on white were indeed offered. Which leads me to another question, are there any colors which they did NOT use with certain paint finishes? Or did anything go with anything?

Seeking opinions for an interior color for a 66 GTO. I've chosen Reef Turquoise as the exterior color and wonder what would be a good match for the interior? I'm *thinking* one of the blue or turquoise interior colors but am uncertain what would be appropriate. Was looking at the interior color chart (link below) and wondered about "Dark Bright Blue" or "Dark Turquoise" but would like to hear from folks who know better. Sorry to keep beating this dead horse! What about this (below), the AMT 68 Shelby? Could I build the intended vehicle (second pic below) with that, or would the Revell 68 still be the best body to use? Apologies if this is a naive question....

Ok, then from the pic just posted before your post, along with the profile view I posted on Friday, could I achieve that using the '66? Since the grill and headlights won't be used?

Lovely work, looks great! You definitely tackled that one very nicely. 👍👍 Maybe the question I should ask is, since the target build appears to have had the grill removed and the headlights blanked over, would I be better off using a '67? Are there any other details I should take into account that would need changing?

Thanks guys.....Brian, the 68 Mustang does have to be a 68, I'm afraid.... has anyone had success with, say, taking the 68 body and kitbashing it with the 67 'stang to achieve a 68 with better details?

For your amusement. Back in '77, my folks' early 60's Plymouth Savoy totally died. I was 6 but I remember it well. What I didn't know at the time was my folks typed up an obituary for the car (without publishing) to amuse themselves. They even listed our other car ('70 Cutlass) as one of the survivors. Enjoy!

Seeking advice since I'm just an aircraft guy who dabbles in automotive and am often clueless. Saw a show recently with a '68 Charger redone in a shade called "Black Cherry." As the name implies, it looks almost black from some angles and deep dark burgundy from others. Was really taken with it, it was breathtaking. Been doing searches and haven't found anything yet unless I want to fork over a couple hundred for a bit of professional paint. Is this something available in our plastic world, and if so, where? Thanks!
