Franklin, Ohio? I thought you were talking about Oak Ridge, TN.

Only played 9 seasons. He was paid $60k per year and not allowed to make movies in season, so he quit. Unbelievably big and fast.

Carbon Tetrachloride
We used to use that stuff to clean the radar gear aboard ship. Found out later that it was highly carcinogenic.

MEK works great but apply it sparingly. It'll melt or warp plastic. Don't ask me how I know that.

Reat job. Love the paint.

I finally watched this video. My son bought me a diecast of this car several years ago. I'm inspired to repaint the diecast, now. Good video. Thanks, Ace.

If you like blues and jazz, this 8 hour list, all in one place will get your groove on and chill you out.

I've started sanding with 3600 and then finishing with Tamiya fine, all by hand. Looks like a mirror.

Welcome to the forum, Ced.

Good idea. I've put a few holes in my fingers and had parts go flying, sometimes found, sometimes not. 😂

Go to Amazon and check out yoctosun, these things are the bomb, 5 lenses and a built in light. Game changer for me, and they are like $20. Comfortable and you can wear glasses while wearing them as well. Lens angle and light angle are adjustable, I love them.
I'll second this recommendation. Additionally, I was pleasantly surprised at how well the light works.

Very creative. I like it.

Wloomed aboard, Kurt. It's a good place for model builders.
I visited Trinidad in 63, 64 and 65 while in the US Navy. We picked up the admiral and his staff that were stationed there and circled South America. I have many fond memories of visiting there. It's a beautiful place. Love the steel drum bands.

You're right, Charles, this is a good group.

If the ceiling is 8' tall, you'll be venting 384 cubic feet. My marine engine bay exhaust fan runs at 170 cfm. My math says it'll take 2 minutes and 15 seconds to evacuate that space, theoretically. it's not going to be as simple as that because those fumes will linger and mix with any other open vented air entering the room. I'd connect a paint hood or as some call them a paint booth to the exhaust which will capture more of the fumes. In addition, you must wear a respirator. Those fumes will linger longer than 2 minutes and 15 seconds. I still get a slight whiff of paint odor from my enclosed booth which is 2x3x3 or 18 cubic feet after a few minutes of spraying.

We're our own worst critics. I think you did a good job. Love the color. The 56 and 60 are my favorite early Fords.

Reset to a previous restore point?

Great work. I always liked the 60 Ford bubble tops. My first car was a 61 Impala, black over red.

You can cut one out of clear plastic that is used to wrap a lot of stuff in the stores. Some call it acetate. I save the stuff for occasions like yours.

Again, why didn't I think of that.
