STYRENE-SURFER Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Because I have recently inquired on this site about the rarity of this kit, I felt perhaps others might be interested in its contents. It's a quite simple kit with not many parts. Mine has some parts off the trees, and a broken steering wheel. The only clear piece is a tinted windshield, mine has some nice scratches in it from floating around in the box for 44 years. The chrome is weak and you can see a lot of green showing through, don't know if that was standard for these old Monogram kits.
Mark72JPS Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 There is one on Ebay,$899.99, buy it now.
unclescott58 Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Thanks Kurt. Even if I'm not to interested in the kit, I love see these reviews showing the contents of the kits. As I've noted before, "a picture is worth a thousand words." So these type of reviews are great. I hope people keep on doing more of these.
Mr mopar Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Yes the chrome on these kits were not the best ,kind hit and miss. I have both green & yellow issues .
Erik Smith Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 That's cool - didn't know there was a 1/24 Pontiac overhead cam engine. Thought the only styrene version was from the MPC Firebird annuals. Cool.
1930fordpickup Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Good pictures. This is cool to see what is inside.Sometimes you get to find what that weird part in the parts box came from when a rare kit is reviewed. .
disabled modeler Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 COOL...Nice memories there can almost smell the plastic...
