junkyardjeff
I picked up a built AMT 68 Elcamino so anybody know if a base Chevelle hood is made since I want to build this Elcamino as a base model.

Toner283
To save a bit of frustration.... the hood on the AMT 69 Chevelle 2 dr hardtop kit and the 90's tooling AMT 68 Elcamino kit are different sizes and will not interchange without some adjustments. I cannot remember off the top of my head which is bigger though. If you had the old school 69 Elcamino from way back the hood from the 69 Chevelle should fit as they are based on the same tooling but I do not have one (69 Elcamino kit) to verify that as fact.I have a couple of Kevins flat base hoods and they fit the Chevelle hardtop and convertible bodies A1. junkyardjeff
I kind of forgotten about the El camino and drug it out to start of the restoration/conversion to base model.
