JTalmage Posted August 31, 2016 Share Posted August 31, 2016 Yep, no coil springs. The twisting action of the bar is what keeps the suspension loaded. My '04 Ford Ranger 4x4 is the same way. It has torsion bars. I cranked the torsion bar bolts in to bring the front height up to match the back height after I first got it. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Lunajammer Posted August 31, 2016 Share Posted August 31, 2016 About the only thing you could have used was engine and trans ,,and maybe the disc brakesMy foggy recollection of them from the time was that they were prone to transmission failures.
