Build this one quickly and a tiny bit shoddily, pretty much out-the-box-stock to finally wrap up(or rather, at least get a start to finish line-up) of every generation Camaro in stark yellow with black stripes(if possible). I gotta admit, AMT really raised the stakes for detail in terms of the chassis and engine bay on a modern car model. Now all that remains is to build the AMT 1983 Camaro I got sitting around and by some way or pray to whatever God I gotta for AMT to churn out another 1974 Camaro so I don't have to camp eBay and pay some guy 200 bucks for a second hand one D:

I agree and support your request for AMT to re-release the 1974 Camaro , it happened to be my 1st real car purchase. Even the Camaro has suffered from what I'll call "blind" engineering styling over the years I have remained a camaro fan. This generation hasn't disappointed , I look forward to building this release I ust purchased at the NNL Toledo.

Don't need to camp on eBay, I found this to create a 74-77 steel bumper, I haven't built it yet, but here's the resin part and link.

Ya' reckon with a '70 Camaro kit from AMT the body would line up enough for it to work? Still would need a tail replacement for the rear lights and such but it's a hell of a strong start if just modifying a '70 body would work, albeit finding one that isn't molded in safety jacket orange. A while back I came across some guy that casted the '74 body from the annual MPC kit but I'mma go ahead and assumed he's been shut down due to legal reasons, wish I bought one back then. Mid-70s Camaro's are such a pain in the rear to come across, though at least front fascia's a plenty!

Edit: I have to add, my biggest issue is the fact I don't live in the States and import duties on say a 80 dollar+ resin cast are on the verge of sadistic, that really crippled my search for a proper '73-'77 Camaro kit/parts.

Hah, I just spotted your topic! Great minds think alike? <3

Certainly. I have several Camaros to build one of these days. I had several of them for my Company Car, as well as owning a couple of them. I have one of my personal cars built, the '91 RS Convertible, and one under construction, the '78 Sports Coupe with T-Tops. Speaking of the '74, I built one back in the day, and I have an unbuilt MPC to be built as Joe Mannix' last ride on the show. I have to turn the '78 Z28 into a Sport Coupe, by getting a non scooped hood, and filling the fender louvers. Just about everything else is done. I like the yellow theme you are going with. When I did my '70 Baldwin Motion Camaro, I painted it Daytona Yellow, with the Black Stripes. I think I am going to display my Yellow Camaros together, like you are doing, as I like Yellow Camaros too.
