stitchdup
I built this from the pirelli edition kit. I swapped the engine for one of the clearly scale 16 valvers (I hope Jeremy is back selling these soon, I need more) and changed the wheels for something a bit more racey looking for a clubman hillclimb style. The rear wheels are front wheels from an esci escort and the fronts are narrowed rims from the tamiya jeep cherokee fitted with some fujimi turbo-fans, and used 2 lots of the esci front tyres. The only change to the interior is the option steering wheel from the amt scirocco and a replacement gear stick as the kit one went ping into oblivion. I removed the trim molding from the drivers side wheel arch and drilled out the mounting holes. I used a mix of ak and citadel washes to weather/dirty it up and then used a front spoiler from the fujimi mk2 race car kit under the front bumper. I snapped this and taped it back together to go with the racey look of being duct taped back together to keep racing. I need to repaint the exhaust agin it seems, it didn't look bare in the flesh. stitchdup
It will be some day Curtis, I've been gathering /hoarding vw kits so I can build the oldlocal vw garage (long since closed) as it was during the mid 80s, though I'll have a few newer cars from the vw family in it. It should be fun as the building itself is pretty old and has some decent stone work to model
geetee66
Nice one I've seen plenty as grubby as this! I like the repairs and weathering, too
