TonyK Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 This is the "sticker" version of the Petty Charger. I wanted to try it along with an unpainted body and it worked out pretty well. It takes a bit of patience and care but no different than decals. The model itself is alright. Odd instructions that aren't all that clear about certain parts and a few mistakes too but nothing that a seasoned modeler can't figure out. I noticed the hood wasn't sitting right but it does if I was more alert before taking pictures.
sflam123 Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Very nice!! I've been thinking about trying to get this kit. What sort of issues did you run in to building it?
TonyK Posted July 6, 2022 Author Posted July 6, 2022 I worked on this off and on while building other kits so can't remember exact issues. Overall I think Salvino's makes nice models but between the instructions and parts fit it almost feels like they've rushed things. Just a few parts that don't fit right but we deal with that all the time and make adjustments. And then there's no rear window straps which is odd to omit. You should get the model.
drodg Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 I am in the early stages of building it. Your right about the instructions not being entirely clear in some parts. Great job. I like it.
Bruce Scully Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 This is really nice , excellent paint and decal work .
