James W Posted February 12, 2009 Share Posted February 12, 2009 This is just a suggestion, I have not done this for a while. I would grind some table salt very fine and then add rubbing alcohol as a suspension and apply it by spraying it off a tooth brush. If it dose not work or you don't like the pattern it will wipe off. Modelmartin Posted February 13, 2009 Share Posted February 13, 2009 I glued actual salt onto a base and a car and it looked great for a while but when it gets humid out it will dissolve as mine did. dryvr12 Posted February 16, 2009 Share Posted February 16, 2009 i just read about this today! apply some water with a brush, then sprinkle, drop, pinch, or throw the salt. Apply your color coats over that. It sould look really bad and "chunky", like it was sitting at the bottom of the ocean. You should be able to scrape away the salt, which will chip away the paint which stuck to it. Now to get the picture, once logged in, go to "my controls" go to the "personal controls" tab. The last option should be something like persoanl picture or something. Click on that. You should be able to download a pic onto there and it will show up when you post.
