jeffp60 Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 While I do enjoy seeing everyone's builds that show me how inept I still am,I'm really here for HELP. I've used air but with ink rarely with paints. Use craft paints diluted 1:1 water. 20 lbs air. Plugs, spits or floods. Swirl in jar,in coats then fades to translucent to clean fairly quickly. Bought a nylon coffee strainer, paint barely drains through it. Should it pour right through it ? Had drill on high to mix, created massive bubbles. Assuming THAT caused issues with spray. Back on low ,just mix NOT blend..... I tried alcohol once but the paint turned to gum ,so afraid of that unless I test with small amounts I guess. Any answers or opinions ??
peteski Posted July 12, 2023 Posted July 12, 2023 Not the most popular choice, but I would go with the organic-solvent based (stinky) paint. No fuss, no muss - they are much easier to deal with and work well. I don't get along with water based paints.
Mike 1017 Posted July 12, 2023 Posted July 12, 2023 This is what I use. Some here recommended this product Golden Airbrush Mediums | BLICK Art Materials (dickblick.com)
