my first scratch build

Recommended Posts

here is a pic of my first ever scratch built cab and chassis based on a 1951 autocar.i decided after looking at pics on the net that the only way i would have one would be to build it myself.so after three weeks of solid building it is finished and ready for a few comments, hopefully.it may not be 100% spot on but it is a very hard truck to find decent pics and info on,in any case i am pretty impressed with the final result

You scratch built that in just 3 weeks? Do you have a job....do you sleep....do you have a life???? I am very impressed with the workmanship that I can see from the rather small pictures, but putting that aside, it is very impressive. Great job.....I love it, if you can't buy, build it yourself...great modelers attitude! Keep it up!

Great scratchbuild. Wow. I move along at a snail's pace, and you did this in three weeks? Thanks for making the rest of us look like slackers ;) .

Great job Codie! What's with the windshield poppin' open? ;)

What an inspiration! My kind of modelling-- tons of research and then start scratchin' ;)

I know where you're coming from Codie! I'm a man possessed until I see a project through to completion!

Love the truck- nicely built, and a very unusual subject!
